    Shed Features

I designed the interior with the sole purpose of comfort, peace, relaxation all in one. I wanted to create an area to read, watch movies and create. I also tried to make it a place where friends & family could enjoy the space too so lots of focal interest. I had electricity connected to put in lighting and a fire for cooler seasons. I tried to utilise a summerhouse for every season not just summer. As my home is a 1910 terraced the backyards run side by side so I purposely had it built into the corner for total privacy. I love to nap on the fold out settee so privacy was a priority. Colour wise I used willow/country cream because I was aiming for a peaceful feel against the bright iris of the fences. All the pictures I made myself using willow paint for the borders to tie in with the outer colour. I bought 2nd hand pieces, charity shop finds and various other bargain accessories. It was completed on the lowest possible budget. My proudest achievement overall is that I did this solely myself (except the summerhouse build) I am a single parent with very low income so everything I did was done with minimum spend. My mental health isn’t great and I made it a mission to get out every day to do as many jobs as I could. I am exceptionally proud of the result and even prouder I did it all by myself!

    Other Shed info

I’ve included photos of pre shed when the yard was in a bad way. I laid the base and pea gravel and gave every panel, window and door 3 coats. It was a true labour of love and was worth every minute.
