It was built on what was once a 'Devon Bank'. An ancient division between fields. At 1.2m in starting height and only 2m deep the structure had to overhang the existing garden amd pond to allow 2.4m internal. This was need to fit in the hot tub , bar and and seating aswell as the outdoor decking adjacent and accessed from the shed.
At the start of the project we had weeks of clearing decades of growth from what was potentially an old hedgerow dividing two fields. Once this was achieved large oak sleepers were fitted to make a retaining wall to allow the shed to sit approx 1mtr above the existing garden. Once the 6x2 floor joists and 3x2 wall stud were in position everything was clad internally & externally with timber. All external timbers are treated with one of two Cuprinol colours. The Shed is used all year round as it has mains water & electricity , a sink & hot tap , beer fridge , contemporary wall mounted fire , remote controlled colour changing LED's and Hot Tub. It is the envy of all our neighbours who always find an excuse to pop in
