Features

The Artist's Cabin acts as a 'site hut' & creative meeting place for like minded people. It has been enhanced internally/externally many times) - two additional platforms front and rear create shelter from the sun/wind/rain (bane of all artists painting 'plein air') However the siting of the shed overlooking open countryside affords artists/students a unique opportunity to study and enjoy the flora and fauna in the immediate vicinity whilst the healing process of creativity takes place...

Other info

Previously the shed was the obsolescent pre-war 'Old Doddington Telephone Exchange' made of Honduras Mahogany - change of use being given as an Artist's studio in 1987 (and in need of extensive TLC).

It was unscrewed and moved to its present site in 1996 - full of character in an idyllic setting, with sheep (lambing soon) and horses grazing nearby. Teeming wildlife abound - no shortage of hedgehogs here!
