    Other Shed info

I originally built a summer house and decking 15-20 years ago but it just got used for storage. I later made it into a very small bar, room for 4 people if you were lucky. My wife then saw one of these concrete Mediterranean type BBQ/Pizza oven things and she wanted it. I thought i would put it in the corner of the decking that again didnt get used much. I strengthened the floor as these things are pretty heavy. I decided to put a roof over it with a flue pipe going through it, so i extended the roof from the summer house right across over the decking.

My wife then suggested putting sides on it and closing it in for winter, this is when it started getting serious. Sides were made with windows and doors, but it was a bit draughty having draught coming up through the decking. So the floor was insulated and laminate floor put down. I then took the front off the original summer house opening it all up. All done...i thought until again my wife suggested extending it out sideways onto the side decking we didn't use. Construction started again, new side and window, with two new doors constructed, with one internal side of the original summer house removed to open it all up after fitting a large roof beam to hold it all up.

The inside of the original summer house now looked a bit old and scruffy so i ripped it all out, put a new floor down, insulated the walls and put new internal wall in. I then built the bar putting coloured glass tiles on the top with black sparkly grout, everyone loves the bar top. It has a 3D TV, internet access and the whole place is heated by a very efficent diesel heater.
