My creative escape
I originally bought it for my mother’s 80th birthday for her to have some space for reading. (My parents live with me post pandemic).
I’ve enjoyed recycling gifted items and breathing new life into old, using Frenchic paint.
2 chairs which were destined for a bonfire which I rescued and booked onto a reupholstery course. This gave me the confidence to reupholster the 2nd chair at home. These 2 1930’s recliners are now perfect for sitting and reading or just enjoying nature sounds in the garden.
I also like to go into this quiet space to paint, journal and knit.
The wood burner was picked up in a French brocante for €5. I had it sandblasted, a new foot added, spray painted and installed to keep cosy in the cooler months.
