Shed Features

This shed was inspired and built because of watching a documentary from a chap called Dick Proenneke. 'cabin on twin lakes' and i just wanted me a piece of that! i have gone on to building a few more cabins on the same piece of land. The shed was built 10 years ago now its pretty much remained the same apart from the odd leak and few more coats of varnish!! Most of the shed is from skip salvaging to bartering ! ( The floorboards inside and the facing boards on the front were exchanged for a dumpy bag of logs! I deffo won that one! ) 10inch wide pitch pine from an old dance hall local to the cabin The rest of the panelling on the side is of course pallet wood so there many nights of de nailing slats! This cabin is nestled on a piece of land we call the allotment as we grow plenty of veg down there it really is a slice of paradise.

We set up a little solar panel with a leisure battery and inverter to watch some Fred Dibnah! This cabin was built a while ago now when I was single and had plenty of time to potter but now its used as a play den for my 2 kids and beautiful fiancé!

Other Shed info

it's built from mostly reclaimed materials except the corrugated roof sheets. it's now place that my children use and my parents for summer evening get togethers.
