She is about 100 years old Shepherds Hut and now under restoration She is very fragile and needed lots of love and braceing timbers to get her home.When she is restored she will have a home on our water meadow at Thurgarton Iron Works.The family all love her and cant wait to get her back to her "new" self!!!
Miss Bottifont is 9 foot X 6 Foot with a pitched tin roof.She is clad in 9 inch wide feather edge boards.She has cast iron wheels, one of which had a tree growing thro it befor she came home.The front axle turntable is in oak but the frame and rear axle is pine.The framing is quite light 3"X 2". She will have a small coal stove put back in place and some new doors as these are both missing. I should be able to save about 80% of her. I have all the materials to start her new life so its all systems go!!!!!
