Built from two gently softening ticket booths, purchased from a sympathetic dear friend and containing two doors and a window from skips, a further window, hand basin, stool and kitchen island from the local tip shop, it took two years to complete - fifteen months propped against the house and nine months following erection.
Fully insulated and boarded it has six windows and a ventilation hatch (as in summer it is hotter than the surface of the sun). A full width worktop (free) allows a generous space to read, think or even grow young plants. There is a heater and a camping stove. Guests who are served hot food have their name added to a wall.
