This amazing space brings the mountains to the city. Timber beams, pine panelling, marquetry, quirky accessories, carvings and great lighting bring a touch of the peaks to our back garden and you would never know you are yards away from a busy motorway. This shed hidden away at the bottom of our small garden is a little piece of escapism
This build was inspired by our love of mountain climbing and my wife and I have climbed throughout the world (we even got engaged at the top of a mountain!)and wanted to bring our travels back home with us. Entirely hand built and using a wealth of recycled materials, in the style of an alpine hut or Nepali tea house, we feel we have created something special. The name ty mynydd fach is welsh for 'little mountain hut' (my wife is welsh)
