Our fantastic "Wooden Wedgy" shed was designed my myself utilising a narrow triangular shaped piece of garden which was laid out in turf our house was new. Our garage was filling up with general garden stuff so we decided more space was required. A lot of planning went into the design until it was just right (driving my poor wife mad listening to me raving on and on and on). Evenutally an acceptable design was ready to go out to bid. I gave the job a local joiner who came highly recommended and asked him to stick roughly to my plans but he was given a lot of latetude to make it work. I lifted the turf myself over several back breaking evenings by moon light and flood light. I recycled the turf to a good freind of mine so he now has lush green grass at his front door. I layed the slabs ready for recieving the structure. The shed was built on site and erected over two days with no issues. I then used a local Electrician to wire in lights and power sockets (to listen to the Chris Evans show while relaxing in the garden). It is totally unique and a very economical use of the space available in the garden without encroaching on the main play areas. It is my mini Grand Design.
The "Wooden Wedgy" is used for storing my lawn mower, Barbeque, power tools, hand tools and all garden equipment. It has a work bench, lots of purpose built shelving & stores all of our two daughters outdoor toys. This includes a trampoline, two space hoppers, ride on cars, prams, skipping ropes, balls etc etc etc but most importantly my Technics separates music centre (is music centre the right word? Stereo sounds too old fashioned) for belting out cool sounds during sizzleling summer BBQ's!!! The "Wedgy" truly is a great building and is almost one of the family.
