    Shed Features

Its an ideal place to entertain family and friends as it has a well stocked bar and coffee bar; its perfect for a celebratory meal or simply a change of scene for dinner in the evening. I can enjoy my retirement by retreating for some metime, reading or listening to music; I can enjoy nature by watching squirrels and birds in the garden. For me, its special because we can enjoy it all year round: by changing some decorative accessories, our summerhouse is also a cosy winter lodge!

    Other Shed info

When we bought the summerhouse in January 2020 , little did we know how important it would become to our daily lives. Not only did we have to build it ourselves due to lockdown restrictions, but it gave my husband and I a project to work on throughout the spring and summer months. We started building in March and, with the help only of YouTube, finished this labour of love in July, complete with electricity, heating and insulation above and below. We then needed to create some sort of surround which developed into a good sized deck area incorporating a nearby tree ( with the birth of our first grandchild in January, we christened this Rosas Treeand added a wee seat especially for her). Throughout the summer, this little piece of heaven was our salvation. When family and friends were allowed to visit it proved to be a wonderful space to entertain, especially with our well stocked bar ; when they were not permitted, it was a haven for me to sit in my reading corner and enjoy my well earned retirement. To sit here and watch the sun go down brought us such joy that when the winter months drew in, we decided to turn it into a winter lodge! With a slight change of decorative accessories, we transformed it into a cosy winter retreat, complete with coffee bar and continued to enjoy the benefits of this endearing space. When December came, we turned it into a Christmas Grotto and brought some festive magic for our family to enjoy. We absolutely love our summerhouse and its addition has filled what would have been a very difficult year, with a huge sense of satisfaction and a shedload of happy memories of times spent with family and friends.
