We designed this shed for an Opera singer to practice in during covid lockdown Taking cues from the clients background in opera this project creates a multiuse studio space at the rear of a carefully curated garden referencing galleries stage curtains and balconies found in traditional opera theatres and combining them with high quality modern materials The space becomes part rehearsal studio part office and part entertaining space seeking to bring joy light and a playful edge to all of those activities
The shed is constructed using SIPs panels, sat on ground screw piles. It is clad in hard-wearing Kebony timber, and feautures bespoke metal windows and door surrounds.
