We live in the countryside, leaden roding, known for its fox hunting in the past. We also own 3 beagles so the name fitted. We have tried our best to make it look like you're walking into a real old english country style pub, with decor from antique shops and charity shops to match. It started as a starndard wooden shed then insulated and plasterboarded. We made everything including the tables, bar, benches, fireplace and fake beams to give a more traditional feel. And of course, used cuprinol ducks back black on the shed.
I've always wanted to build a pub in the garden so started, over a year or 2, collecting from charity shops, antique shops, Facebook market place, skips, anything that I could use for decor or building. Once lockdown hit it was the perfect time to start the build as we had the weekends indoors as both of us were still working. It took around 3 months to build, every weekend and the odd evening here and there till it was ready. And after around 9 months of use, we're still in The Fox & Hounds every evening!
