We originally built the shed as a summerhouse some 15 years ago, but after the closure of our village pub we decided to turn it into a pub shed.
The theme is WWII and in particular RAF as my late Father was in Bomber Command during the war.
We already had quite a lot of memorabilia on the war, but over the years we have collected many more items (including pieces of original planes and even a piece of a German plane shot down over Russia)
We regularly have friends round and we provide food and they bring drink. So far we have had fish & chip nights, pie & pea nights, curry nights and Italian themed nights.
Friends also generously donate to our bottle the proceeds of which go to our charity, Eden Valley Hospice.
We have really enjoyed collecting memorabilia over the years and often get donations from family and friends to add to the pub.
We have thought about entering the shed a few times over the years but thought it would be quite relevant to enter now with the 80th anniversary of VE Day approaching.
