    Shed Features

My shed is special, because it is original and home made and is the best thing I have ever made.

We call it FIRESAGA, because it has a fire and has been a bit of a saga making it. Converted and extended from a wonky Summerhouse to a warm a cosy Winter house with wood burning stove, solar powered lights and water feature. Featuring reclaimed pallet wall, corrugated metal ceiling with home made lights with defusers. All space has been used even the space in the stood walls to make cupboards and a bottle light wall.

The chimney and solar panels are housed in specially made roof boxes.

Internal lights as well as external lights and water feature are all powered from one solar panel. We call it a winter shed because it gets used more in the winter and than in the summer…

    Other Shed info

Originally an off the peg summer house, the building was extended by a foot at the front with a stud wall build with floor boards used for the walls. Slat panels used to make a feature either side of the original doors which were moved forward. Existing wood panels and Perspex were cut to size to infill the gaps on the sides and to fill the two opening windows.

A metal roof was installed inside to make a ceiling which reflects heat. Also with home made lights installed as well as a pelmet light on the two back walls and extended to be used outside on the front walls as a feature.

The rear walls have been made from scrap pallets with a wall clock and light wall making a relaxed look.

It is a great place to read a book, by the open fire.
