Bra Boss HQ is an incredibly special, and I think extremely unique shed. I transformed it from a summerhouse to a lingerie boutique! I am a fully trained bra fitter and decided to launch my own business from home (or shed!) and I now work here full time! I offer private bra fitting appointments to ladies who need my help. From sports bras to nursing bras, I have an Aladdin's cave of beautiful bras, all under one little shed roof! Ladies can come here to have a peaceful and private bra fitting experience. Unlike larger department stores, there is no queueing, no stress and it is a quirky experience like no other. Since opening my own business in 2019, I am incredibly grateful to say that I have been incredibly busy and have fitted well over 300 ladies. I have been closed for a considerable amount of time due to COVID-19, but as soon as I am able to re-open my doors, I will be back up and running and supporting the ladies in Kent, one bra fitting at a time!
The summerhouse was already located at the bottom of our garden when we bought our first house back in 2018. It was used to keep a washing machine/tumble dryer and some guinea pigs in by the previous owners. As soon as we moved in, I had the idea to turn it into my new lingerie business venture! I revamped it by myself (with the help of my partner and family!) and gave it a good lick of paint inside and out (thank you Cuprinol!) I then sourced all of the lingerie from reputable brands and borrowed furniture/changing room screens and desks from family and friends. I had the idea that I wanted to start up a business with little overheads and no debt. At the beginning of a new business, it is very risky to commit to an expensive shop on the high street, so I wanted to start off on a much smaller scale to test it out and its worked so incredibly well! Its such a lovely space to work in, and I get a lot of positive comments from my customers that its definitely the quirkiest place theyve had a bra fitting! Its a safe space where ladies can come and have some time out for themselves. I specialise in bras for new mums (maternity and nursing) as well as post-surgery bras. If a lady has battled with breast cancer, Bra Boss HQ is a safe, relaxing and private space for them to feel comfortable and supported.
