My shed is a pub and relaxing space for myself, family and friends. It has a nautical theme and celebrates the PS Waverley which was built in 1947 and is the last sea going paddle steamer in the world. I am lucky enough to live in Largs where the Waverley is docked in the summer and enjoy many sails around the West Coast of Scotland. The bar has many photos of the Waverley and I have tried to give the bar an industrial steam engine look. I have many old timetables and photos of the Waverley. At the side I have painted a Waverley painting which is still being worked on. The Waverley funnel colours of Red, black and white are a constant theme.
I finish the Shed in March 21 after 6 months of building. This included digging a flat surface on a slope, building a strong wooden frame and constructing the shed which came as a kit. The bar is made from oak and finished to a high standard by a professional wood restorer friend. The shed had been a great addition to my home. friends ,family and neighbours have all enjoyed great nights out including karaoke nights, games nights, cocktail making nights and quizzes. The Waverley Bar now has its own drinks menu and is now serving bar meals to invited friends.
