I've attempted to give our small back garden a Chinese theme by the use of fencing, a water feature and the shed. My wife's father originated from Hong Kong and the inspiration for the garden comes from our family holidays there.Internally the shed is shelved out and has a workbench and provides lots of storage space for kid's bikes, camping gear, fridge freezer plus all the other usual stuff. Externally the shed gives a splash of colour with reclaimed timber doors and shaped roof painted in red, blue glazed brickwork to supporting masonry columns, and stone sets and cobbles disguising a concrete base. Cuprinol dark oak preservative to the shiplap cladding on the walls helps blend the shed in with the surroundings.
The roof construction is in timber and the barrel shape has been made possible by supporting the rafters off ply box beams front and rear.
