This particular landscape garden design and construction job was the first one I ever undertook on my own. The customers, Caroline & Christopher Harrison, are a young and enthusiastic couple with a terrific sense of humour.
The shed was a run down old thing which was located near the front of the back garden. It took up too much living space and was wrongly located. Reluctant to lose the shed completely, I took the whole thing apart and rebuilt it in a new location, rebuilt the roof and patched up the rotten wood, then painted it with a bright base coat.
The idea to paint it like a giant fresian cow was entirely Caroline's idea, and the couple both painted the pattern onto the shed one sunny weekend. Finishing touches include an iron stag's head at the apex of the roof, and black powder coated metalwork.
