In order to clean up and salvage all of the forlorn boards in the garden, Gavin Smith and Daniel Seiple stacked them in the form of a house. It includes a tunnel and inner staircase that lead to a roof from which to overlook the garden and observe the hills beyond. Various alcoves in the facade, modeled after Arts & Crafts architecture, provide storage for other objects and places to sit. The wood is preserved under corrugated steel sheeting that was also reclaimed from the trash heap.
The two constructed the shed/stack at Smith's home. He is a woodcarver. Hence the abundance of wood.
